About Adam
Adam Arce earned his law degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, completing his J.D. in 2019 after entering the program in 2016. He studied social justice as part of his legal education. Before law school he completed a B.S. in psychology at California State University, San Jose State University in 2013. That combination of social justice coursework and a psychology background shapes the way he approaches client matters and legal problems.
Arce's early legal work began while he was still in school. In 2017 he served as a research assistant at UC Hastings College of the Law, a role that involved legal research and drafting. The following year he interned at the Justice and Diversity Center through the Bar Association of San Francisco. Those placements gave him exposure to public-interest work and the mechanics of client intake, case management and courtroom procedure. In 2018 he worked as a lawyer at California Trial Law Group, PC, gaining experience in a litigation-oriented environment.
Before and during his legal training Arce held a range of positions outside the courtroom that informed his client-facing skills. He was a customer service representative for Bay Alarm Medical in 2015. Earlier, in 2013, he worked as an area supervisor for Ross Stores, Inc. Those jobs required clear communication, quick problem solving and day-to-day personnel management. He has said that the practical demands of those roles helped him learn to explain complex information in plain language.
In 2021 Arce joined Ferber Law, A Professional Corporation as an associate. At the firm he has continued to develop litigation and client-service capabilities. His path—from research assistant and legal intern to lawyer and then associate—reflects steady movement through different parts of the legal system. He has experience conducting research, preparing filings and working directly with clients on case strategy and case preparation.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and thorough in his approach to case work. He draws on his academic background in psychology to assess client needs and on his social justice coursework when evaluating procedural and policy issues. He is licensed to practice in California. He currently practices at Ferber Law, A Professional Corporation, focusing on matters handled by the firm.
