About Abigail

Abigail Neal built the foundation for her legal career at Arizona State University, where she earned a B.S. in Business and Communication in 2004. She went on to complete her J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law in 2007. Those years shaped how she thinks about clients, strategy and the mechanics of litigation. She combines practical business sense from her undergraduate studies with formal legal training from law school.

After law school, Neal entered practice in Arizona. Over time she added admission to the Federal Circuit. She is admitted to practice in Arizona and before the Federal Circuit, which has shaped much of the work she takes on. Her path has kept her rooted in state practice while also extending into federal appellate work.

Her work has involved matters in both state and federal court. She has handled contested proceedings, prepared appellate filings and managed case strategy through different stages of litigation. Peers describe her approach as methodical. She tends to organize complex factual records into clear narratives. She also spends time preparing written advocacy that aims to make legal arguments accessible to judges and clerks.

Neal stays connected to professional circles. She maintains memberships in legal organizations and participates in continuing legal education. That engagement keeps her abreast of changes in procedure and emerging issues in federal practice. It also creates opportunities to exchange views with other litigators and appellate practitioners.

Colleagues say she is deliberate in her courtroom work. She prepares thoroughly for hearings and pays attention to procedural detail. She adapts written arguments to the expectations of appellate panels and to the differing norms of state tribunals. Her practice reflects a balance between careful preparation and responsiveness to developments as cases move forward.

She currently practices in Arizona and before the Federal Circuit, handling matters in both state and federal court.
