About Abbie
Abbie Trone took a conventional path into law. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Elizabethtown College in 2009. She then attended Widener University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2013. Those years framed her understanding of legal history, process and the practical demands of courtroom work.
Her time at Widener included an internship with the Widener Civil Law Clinic. There she worked on real client matters under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in litigation basics and client counseling. The clinic work gave her early exposure to case preparation, pleadings and courtroom procedure. It also offered a window into how local courts operate and how law firms prepare cases for trial.
After law school she joined Schmidt Kramer, P.C. as a lawyer. At the firm she has worked in the Harrisburg and Camp Hill offices. Her practice takes place in Pennsylvania courts. Colleagues describe her as methodical in litigation tasks and attentive to case details. She handles the day-to-day work that moves cases forward: drafting filings, taking discovery, and preparing for hearings and depositions.
Outside of the firm she maintains ties to the legal community. She is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, which was formerly known as the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. Those memberships place her among local bar colleagues and among lawyers who often work on civil litigation matters. Participation in bar activities provides continuing legal education and an exchange of practical ideas with peers. Early clinical work and local bar involvement have shaped how she approaches files and client contact.
Trone’s career reflects steady progression from law student and clinic intern to practicing lawyer in a regional firm. She practices law in Pennsylvania and is based in Schmidt Kramer, P.C.’s Harrisburg and Camp Hill offices. Her current practice is centered on representing clients through the litigation process in Pennsylvania.
