About Aaron J
Aaron J Boria built his legal foundation at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, earning a J.D. in 2007 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan–Flint in 2003. He moved from classroom to courtroom early. Clinical placements during law school gave him direct exposure to criminal defense and post-conviction work.
Those placements included time as a student lawyer with the Washtenaw Public Defender and work with Innocence Project Michigan in 2009. He also served as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Richard Page at the 24th District Court in 2008. The combination of defense-side clinic work and a judicial clerkship left him comfortable with both courtroom procedures and the paperwork behind them.
After law school, Boria spent time as an associate at a plaintiffs litigation firm in 2010 before setting out on his own. He opened a practice in 2010 and later established The Law Office of Aaron J. Boria, PLLC. The early years of private practice centered on criminal defense, and he has maintained that path since then. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and in the Federal Circuit.
Boria’s practice includes work on cases where forensic issues are central. He has completed NHTSA / IACP standardized field sobriety testing training under Tony Corroto and an introductory BAC/DMT Datamaster course through Darrow Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those credentials indicate familiarity with the practical and technical aspects of DUI work, from roadside testing to breath-test equipment.
Professional engagement extends beyond the office. He holds memberships in multiple bar organizations, including the Oakland County, Wayne County, Washtenaw County and Livonia bar associations. He is also a member of the Oakland County American Inn of Court, the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Michigan, and is associated with the State Appellate Defender’s Office. These affiliations keep him connected to developments in criminal law and to a network of defense practitioners.
His background combines courtroom experience, advocacy training, and technical courses related to drunk-driving prosecution and defense. He works on matters that require both trial skills and an understanding of forensic testing. He operates from The Law Office of Aaron J. Boria, PLLC and continues to handle criminal defense matters, including cases involving driving offenses and related criminal charges.
