About Aaron

Aaron Baghdadi earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2007. His time in Tallahassee coincided with a period of rapid change in the state’s legal landscape. The law school experience gave him a foundation in courtroom procedure, legal research and the kinds of appellate work that would figure in his later career.

After law school Baghdadi gained admission to practice in Florida and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He built a practice that spans state and federal courts. Over the years he has handled matters that require both trial preparation and appellate briefing. He has represented clients in contested proceedings and argued before tribunals that set precedent.

Baghdadi’s courtroom work is paired with steady attention to written advocacy. He has prepared briefs, motions and appellate filings that address complex issues of procedure and law. Peers describe him as thorough in his preparation and direct in court. He is comfortable moving between courtroom advocacy and the detailed drafting appellate work often demands.

His career includes work on cases that implicate federal jurisdiction and state law questions. That combination has required mastering the procedural differences between trial courts and appellate panels. He has appeared in hearings, managed discovery, and shepherded cases through dispositive motions and appeals. Colleagues note that he treats each phase of litigation as part of a larger strategic effort to obtain a favorable result.

Baghdadi joined Kovar Law Group where he continues to practice law. At the firm he handles litigation matters in Florida courts and represents clients in proceedings before the Eleventh Circuit. He works with clients on case strategy, prepares appellate briefs, and presents oral argument when cases reach higher courts. His work includes close coordination with co-counsel, witnesses and expert consultants when cases require it.

Outside the courtroom he maintains professional contacts within the legal community and follows shifts in appellate doctrine and procedural rules. He keeps current on decisions that affect practice in Florida and the federal circuits. He remains based at Kovar Law Group, where his current practice concentrates on litigation and appellate representation in state and federal courts.
