About A. Todd

A. Todd Almassian built the foundation of his legal career in Michigan classrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1996. Those years shaped his approach to law: methodical, practical and attentive to detail.

After law school, Almassian entered the legal profession at a time of steady change. He has spent more than two decades practicing law, moving through roles that required both courtroom work and client counseling. He has represented individuals and businesses, prepared pleadings and agreements, and handled negotiations that resolved disputes outside of trial.

His work has been steady rather than headline-grabbing. He built a practice on steady preparation and measured advocacy. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers substance over style and favors clear explanations for clients who often come to him at difficult moments. That approach has guided his handling of factual complexity and procedural hurdles alike.

Almassian’s background includes both trial and transactional experience. He has prepared cases for trial and argued motions. He has also advised clients on contracts and compliance matters. That combination has made him adaptable; he is comfortable switching between the give-and-take of settlement talks and the more formal demands of court filings.

Outside the office he has remained connected to the legal community formed during his studies at Detroit Mercy and Michigan State. He has worked with peers on matters that required multi-disciplinary collaboration. Those experiences reinforced an interest in problem-solving that is reflected in how he manages client matters: by breaking issues into manageable pieces and setting clear priorities.

Now more than three decades into his legal life, Almassian continues to practice law. He maintains a private practice where he represents clients and advises on a range of legal matters. As of 2026 he remains actively engaged in client work and legal problem-solving.
