About A. Joel
A. Joel Williams built a legal foundation at Georgia Southwestern State University and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he earned his J.D. He also completed a Certificate in Trial Advocacy at Cumberland, a credential that shows his early attention to courtroom procedure and courtroom skills.
Williams began his professional career in 2006 at Boone & Stone. He spent several years there refining courtroom techniques and learning the rhythms of litigation. In 2011 he moved to Law & Moran, taking on a broader slate of cases and expanding his work in state courts. Those early years provided practical trial experience and exposure to different facets of civil practice.
In 2013 he launched Joel Williams Law, LLC. He is the firm’s owner and has overseen its development since then. Running a small firm has involved direct client work and firm management. He has handled matters from intake through trial preparation and courtroom advocacy, applying the trial skills he developed during law school and in his early practice.
Williams holds admission to practice in both Alabama and Georgia. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and has been active in membership organizations focused on trial practice. He joined the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice in 2006 and has maintained those memberships. These associations reflect an ongoing connection to the trial bar and opportunities for continuing legal education.
Peer and courtroom experience shape his approach. He prepares cases for trial and focuses on presenting evidence clearly to judges and juries. Clients see him in state courts across the two jurisdictions where he is licensed. His work has a practical bent: steady case evaluation, attention to procedural detail, and an emphasis on courtroom readiness.
Outside the courtroom he manages the business side of his practice, overseeing case intake and the daily operations of Joel Williams Law, LLC. That dual role means he balances client representation with the responsibilities of firm leadership. He continues to practice in Alabama and Georgia and concentrates his work on civil trial litigation across those states.
